Living Eggs

March 2009 saw the return of 'Living Eggs'!  An incubator and 10 eggs arrived, as well as a brooder and other equipment.

The children of Class 4 were responsible for checking the eggs and the incubator temperature (37 degrees was required) and signs of chicks 'pipping'.

Sadly, only 6 out of the 10 eggs hatched and became cute, fluffy chicks!

The children helped to clean, feed, water and exercise the chicks until they were given to a good home.  The children have been fantastic; caring, thoughtful and happy to do any job!
