Years 3 and 4 from the Mosley School
in Anslow, Burton-on-Trent have recently made a film documentary on what
life is like at the school. The project took place through the funding of
the Staffordshire’s Creative Partnerships.
We have been working on the project
since March 2007 with our class teacher, Miss Chipman as well as a film
editer, Andrew Rowell. We have now had a Film Premiere to show what we have
created.
The Film Premiere was held at Burton
Albion Pirelli Football Club on Wednesday 10th October 2007. The
whole school was invited, as well as the Mayor and Mayoress of Burton, Mr
and Mrs Insley.
The evening began with the guests
strolling along the red carpet where they had their photographs taken by the
paparazzi. They then proceeded up to the Albion Suite where refreshments
were served.
The pupils involved in the project
opened the evening with a welcome and an overview of what the project had
been about. We then watched the film documentary about the life of The
Mosley School, which was enjoyed by all there.
After the speeches we held an awards
ceremony. The Mosley School Stars received a certificate for their
achievements followed by their very own ‘Mosley Oscar’!
When the awards ceremony had
finished all guests and stars enjoyed a buffet set out for them and talked
about the evening, especially the film!
A fantastic evening was had by all
and we were all pleased that we had achieved our target, which was to become
film makers!
